From Imlil, we will take you directly up to the refuge Tamsoulte for the night. Aguelzim mountain pass at 3,560m is located above the Azzaden valley to the Toubkal Refuge and offers stunning views over the Atlas summit.

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi M’zik Pass 2,450m – Azib Ntamsoult 2250m

Our 3 Day Mt Toubkal Round Trek via Azzaden Valley starts with a transfer to Toubkal Mountain, you should first pass from Marrakech to Imlil (1,780m). You will set off a 6-hour trek out of the Imlil Valley and into the Azzadene Valley. Along the way, you will pass Tizi N’Mzik at 2,450m, the refuge at Azib n’Tansoult, and the Ighouliden waterfalls. Overnight in the Lipeney and mountain refuge at 3,000m(or before at Azib n Tamsoult 2250 mt).

Day 2: Azib n Tamsoult – Agelzim Mountain pass – Toubkal Base camp

This morning and after breakfast, our 3 Days Toubkal Summit Trek via Azzaden valley involves a fairly stiff climb out of the Azzadene Valley to the Toubkal Refuge via the Aguelzim pass at 3,560m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views over the Atlas Mountain Range. Overnight in the Toubkal Refuge 3207 mt where you’ll be sharing a bunk room with other trekkers tackling Toubkal early the next or stay overnight in tent independence the weather.

Day 3: Toubkal base camp – Toubkal Summit – Toubkal base camp – Imlil – Marrakech

First of all, breakfast early this morning for Climbing Mt Toubkal (4,167m) from where, clouds allowing, you’ll have wonderful views over the Atlas Range and the Sahara Desert. Finally, you will then take a long way back down and passing the refuge so, taking the well-worn path back to Imlil.

This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking involving 900m up then almost 2,500m back down to Imlil. You will normally be dropped off at around 5.00 pm in Marrakech.

  1. Neck –

    The Toubkal weekend is an excellent starting block for dipping your toes into explores active tours. The summit trek is not a given as we got snowed out from reaching the summit, however the whole tour generally was an excellent experience and I will be attempting the trek again with explore.
