This is the ultimate High Atlas trek, a 6-day circular trek in a broad circular route around Mount Toubkal. With a number of spectacular passes, stunning campsites, and of course the summit of Toubkal to contend with, this isn’t a trek for the light-hearted. The rewards are immense though, as you strike out into the wilderness from the relatively populated valleys around Imlil.

This was my third trip to Marrakech, but my first with morocco travel guide. I learnt things about the history and culture that I didn’t know before. Our leader hamid was excellent throughout, keeping us safe at all times. The food on this trip was amazing, especially on the hiking part as we had our own cook who made traditional food. The trek was a challenge, but taken at a slow, steady pace. Wonderful feeling to get to the summit. I would definitely travel with Morocco-travel-guide.com again and enjoyed the mix of different nationalities of my fellow travellers.

We (6 persons) did a private 6 days toubkal trekking in September of 2023 and we really can recommend this company. Our two guide’s Hamid and Mohammed have been very friendly – we learned a lot of their culture and also the Food, which they cooked for us every day, was very good!
We did the following route:
Day 1 : transfer from Marrakech to Imlil
Day 2 (start 10am): Imlil – Nelther Refugee
Day 3: Refugee – Mount Toubkal – Ifni Lake
Day 4: Ifni Lake – Amsouzert
Day 5: Amsouzert – Azib Likemt
Day 6: Azib Likemt – Tacheddirt – Imlil – Marrakesch
Most of the routes in the Internet are described in the other way around, but honestly I can much more recommend the tour in the way we did.
If you don’t have so much time it is possible to skip the stop in Tacheddirt and to go directly to Imlil/Marrakesch – around 2 – 2,5 hours walk more.
(If you start early it is possible to be back in Imlil @ 3pm on the last day).
